FIGURATIVE

PHOTOGRAPHY

  Antonio Sorcini

Abstract art is a major focus for my artwork. Abstract art is many things to me it is an opportunity to interpret, comment and express my opinions, emotions, and feelings.  It applies to every facet of my life, my experiences, loves, family, friends and sometimes just my sentimental musings. I enjoy the jux-positioning of ideas, metaphors, and composition of objects, lines, colors and forms.  I like the excitement and interplay of patterns, textures, colors, forms, lights and darks with images and ideas.  The thought does not have to be complex to create an ethic image that works as a full expression of my art making.  In a big way it is the medium of expression that holds my interest and is satisfying to me. As a poet I find my abstract work to be lyrical and a poetic expression.  I don't expect everyone to grasp the full meaning of my intensions or thoughts behind each work but instead hope that each person can find meaning for themselves.  The works below are just a sampling of my abstract works on paper.
